Learning from your feedback

A virtuous feedback loop

We are unique in being the only private practice in London that seeks regular feedback from its clients – on their progress in therapy, their satisfaction with sessions, and on our performance as therapists. We do this for two good reasons:

For you First and foremost, the results of your regular feedback provide you and your therapist with an easy tool to gauge how well you're progressing in therapy, and how well each session is meeting your needs.
And for us

Second, it’s very important for our practice as a whole that we understand how our clients are faring overall and how rapidly they are experiencing improvement. Only with this understanding can we hope to improve the quality of our service over time.

The two simple feedback forms we use for each session are copied below. They should each take less than 30 seconds to complete. The questions are nothing to do with 'diagnoses' or any kind of clinical assessment. They simply ask you how well you are doing, in very general terms, and about how satisfied you are with your therapy sessions.

Your anonymity

The results of feedback are collated onto a central 'outcomes' database so we can produce our practice wide reports. We don't store your name against your results, just a simple code – made up of your initials and day and month of birth – to allow us to match you up with your therapist.

While we do hold a separate contact database for your phone number and email address, this doesn't link back to the outcomes database, so that no-one apart from your therapist can identify your feedback information.
